The one with where were you...

Writer's picture: Ms. BrandiMs. Brandi

I know today everyone is thinking back to where they were when the planes hit the twin towers. I remember I was in English class in the 8th grade, the security guard came in and told us that something bad happened and that all of our parents were being called to come pick us up. He briefly told us of the attack and our teacher pulled up the news cast. We sat there and cried and spoke about how we were scared. They locked down the school and our parents had to come get us from the classrooms. I had to go home with my cousin and my aunt then walked to my uncles apartment and busted in the doors with tears in my eyes, they told us that planes were hijacked but no specifics and I was so scared because my mom was in a flight to come back to the Bay Area that day. I remember my uncle trying to get a hold of my mom for hours, later finding out that she would be stuck in LA for a few days. I remember sitting with my family in front of the TV for hour watching the news reports unfold.

where were you that day when news hit?
