Once I got into teaching I realized that my earring obsession and my purse collection just wasn't that vital to have any more. One year in and I decided I had to limit my use of cute flats, sandals and wedges because I realized the type of teacher that I wanted to be. I wanted to be able to go out at recess and jump rope, I wanted to play a game of tag with the kids on fun Fridays and I wanted to be able to have the ease if needed.
It was my second year teaching that I fell in love with the comfort and versatility of Chuck Taylor's. If you know Ms. Brandi you know that I am a girly girl, as girly as they come and Chucks complement any outfit. I currently own 43 pairs of Chucks (I know I know), a little obsessive but you honestly need one for every outfit. You have to have 2 of the same color too, one high top and one low top if possible.
My love of Chucks is for various reasons:
-The comfort of wearing them (they are lightweight and I love the way it fits to your feet)
-The versatility (they go well with a dress or jeans and dressy or casual)
-The price (you don't break the bank for a pair of Chucks, specially with the outlet)
-High tops can always be folded down to look like low tops (its like 2 pair in 1)
