Writer's picture: Ms. BrandiMs. Brandi

Oatmeal raisin cookies are my moms favorite, so I decided to make her some to eat with her coffee in the morning. And let me tel you, she loved them!

All you need is: 1 1/4 cups sugar

1/2 cup butter softened 1/3 cup molasses 2 eggs 2 cups quick-cooking oats 1 2/3 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup raisins

Directions:

Heat oven to 375 degrees

In large bowl, stir together sugar, butter, molasses and eggs (until well combined)

Stir in remaining oats baking soda cinnamon, salt and flour (until well combined)

Stir in raisins Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet Bake 9 to 10 minutes or just until set.

Cool for about 3 minutes

Remove from cookie sheets

Serve and enjoy!

Note that my molasses was dark so the overall color of my cookies is a bit dark, but they are still soft baked.
