The one with gulgla...

Yum! If our bananas go brown we make smoothies, mom makes banana cake or I make gulgla (yum). They are basically banana flavored donut bites.

Ingredients:

2 ripe bananas

1 1/2 flour

1 cup water

1/2 tsp fennel

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 raisins

1/4 tsp baking soda

oil for frying


Directions:

In a large bowl mash your bananas

Add in all dry ingredients

Mix together well

Mix in vanilla

Add in water little by little until you have a smooth batter

Let batter sit for about 5 minutes

In the meantime you can begin to heat your oil over medium heat

Give the batter a few mixes

Dip your hand into water and drop tbsp size drops into oil

Stir occasionally to make sure all sides are golden brown

Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel

And your done!

These pair great with a cup of cha!
