Some of my fondest Sacramento memories ended with nights where we would run by grannies house and she would pack us some fresh soft peanut butter cookies. These have to be the best peanut butter cookies that I have ever had, as they are soft and gooey. You more than likely have these items in your home already (if you've visited the blog before you know that I love recipes that call for things you already have in your house).
All you need:
-1 cup sugar
-1 cup peanut butter
-1 tbs vanilla
-1 egg
What to do:
-Mix all ingredients
-Form into equal sized balls (place on baking sheet spread out as they do get bigger)
-Dip a fork into water and press onto each cookie
-Re-dip fork and press onto cookie in opposite direction
-Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes (keep an eye on them to make sure they don't burn as everyone's oven is different)
-Let cool for a few minutes as they will be soft
-Serve!

These are the cookies that my sister in law made, quarantine has turned into virtual dessert dates where you can make the same item with someone cities away so you can enjoy the same sweet treats and share the outcome. Like I said in the direction, please keep an eye on your cookies or they will burn, as mine did.
