The one with easy Mother’s Day crafts...

Writer's picture: Ms. BrandiMs. Brandi

This is the first year that kids will not be bringing home handmade Mother’s Day gifts from school. So I thought that I should show you a few easy things that your kids can make at home to give to mom was on her special day. Mother’s Day 2020 is Sunday May 10th.

Typically I have my class make 4 small paper crafts and notes to take home to mom plus a major diy gift that they made in class. Some of the things that we have made over the years have been:

Photo frames with their own photos

Wax transfer candles

Bath bombs

Necklace

Customized coffee mugs

Paper flower bouquets

Coupon books

Canvas paintings

Pot holders

Mason jars with cookie mix inside

The mothers and grandmothers have been so happy and delighted with the crafts that their students make. Some items turn out so well that they keep these things for years and are surprised when the next years item tops that one.

Below are some easy crafts that you can make with things that you should have at home:

These are just a few ideas but you could also:

Make mom a card

Cook mom breakfast

Tell mom you love her

Give mom a hug

Tell mom why you love her

Help around the house without being asked

Clean your room

Do something with mom that she loves

Not just one day is mother's day! Share your love with and for mom daily! There truly isn't no one like MOM!
