Join me as I share 20 things that you more than like do not know about me!
1. I do not like watermelon but I use to before I went to Australia, I think I just had a bad one and have been turned off since then.
2. When I turned 13 I became allergic to shellfish, my grandmother on my fathers side went thru the same thing.
3. I am Fijian Indian but have never been to Fiji, my brother and I are the only to of my cousins to have not been.
4. I was born in Castro Valley and my mom was barely in the delivery room before I popped out, I guess I was just excited to come into the world.
5. I learned to speak and understand Hindi in the 8th grade, living in LA as a child I only knew the basics but when we moved back to the Bay I realized being so close to family it was something that I had to learn. I learned from listening to people talk, watching movies, reading subtitles and music.
6. I got my first stitches the day after Superbowl 2020, I was cutting a banana at work when the knife somehow slipped and I sliced into my left index finger so I had to go get 7 stitches.
7. I played with Barbies until the 6th grade, I always had a high imagination and grew up with mostly boys in the neighborhood so I had to have fun and occupy my time somehow.
8. My first three jobs I worked with my brother, Carson Youth City Council, Peer Advocates and Camillie's Sidewalk Cafe.
9. I went to my Freshman math class 45 times the whole school year but still passed with a B, the teacher just really liked me.
10. My favorite food is a tuna melt from Tam's in LA, I swear every time I go back home I need one of them BAD.
11. I use to be in love with Lil Wayne, I was crazy! I had burnt every CD and mix-tape that he made, owned all the magazines he was on, went to 7 concerts, and had a Lil Wayne themed 21st birthday all in the span of 2 years.
12. I tried out to be a Torrid model my freshman year in college and I got called to for call backs in LA, but I couldn't go because we didn't have the funds for the trip.
13. I shaved my legs the first time for spirit week freshman year in high school because my friends decided to wear lava lava's.
14. I bought myself my first pair of Jordan's freshman year in college, the Air Jordan III Harbor Blues I swear I wore them everywhere thinking I was so cute.
15. I had to wear an Indian sari to prom because money was really tight and I didn't want to ask my mom to buy me a $150 dress.
16. I've been to 6 Kendrick Lamar concerts in VIP because my childhood neighbor was co president of Kendrick's label.
17. I didn't like reading chapter books until the 6th grade; when I read the book Push in homeroom it made me realize that chapter books developed mental images of events actually occurring.
18. My dad was the founder of a Raiders booster club so we went to all of the home games growing up, and one year we went to Tampa Bay for the game. On the day of the game I was so excited after our win that I wondered off and went on the wrong bus back to the hotel, the bus driver quickly realized the mistake and let me sit on the step near the door for the whole ride. Man was my dad mad at me when they seen me walking off of the bus all proud.
19. In the 3rd grade I begged my parents to let me spend spring break in Hayward, I should have listened to them and just stayed home because I came home with a head full of lice. I had to miss the whole next week of school while my mom used every medicine possible to get rid of them, however nothing was working. So my mom had no other choice but to chop my but length hair to shoulder length.
20. My brother was a at home DJ in middle school, my dad got him speakers, turn tables and the whole entire DJ system. We use to charge people to come to house parties at our house every other Friday night, there was never had less than 20 kids at a party.
