Ready for another sweet treat that you can make with a few simple items? If so why not make bean pies! Yes I said bean pies, a childhood favorite of mine. I remember being a little girl going with my dad to get Fried fish from the market and we would stop and get bean pies and newspapers from the Nation men with their bow ties. Hands down bean pie is my favorite pie, move over sweet potato pie and pumpkin pie. Its way easier than you would think and I think you would actually enjoy it::

All you need is:

-2 cans of white canelli or navy beans

-1 can evaporated milk

-2 and 1/2 cups of sugar

-2 tablespoons flour

-2 tablespoons vanilla extract

-1 teaspoon cinnamon

-1 teaspoon nutmeg

-4 eggs

-1 stick of butter

-3 deep dish pie shells (pre-made or store bought)

The directions are so simple you wont even believe it::

-Add all ingredients to the blender

-Blend until smooth

-Pour mixture evenly into the deep dish pie crusts

-Bake at 350 for 65 minutes

-Remove from oven and let sit for about 10 minute

-Serve either hot or cold (You can top with whip cream if desired)

-Enjoy!

This is the one that we made at home, the crust did get a bit dark because it was on the top shelf but it surely didn't take away from the amazing taste.
