I remember hearing about the draft being held in Las Vegas and telling my brother that I wanted to go just because it was a coming out party for the Raiders moving there and to be a part of history. He was all game until we realized it was the same day as his BP graduation. Fast forward to this whole pandemic, at least we didn’t get tickets and rooms for the draft because we can’t go anywhere anyways.
Drafting schedule EST:
Thursday, April 23: Round 1 (8 p.m.)
Friday, April 24: Rounds 2-3 (7 p.m.)
Saturday, April 25: Rounds 4-7 (12 p.m.)
Starting today 8 pm EST the draft is being televised with everyone streaming in remotely from their homes. Of course saying it and thinking of it is a bit crazy but hey at least we are in year 2020 and we have these capabilities with technology to be able to do so. I mean hey if we can zoom classrooms we can for sure pull this one off. But it will be different as we wont see players rushing to the stage to get their jerseys, so I am excited to see how things are going to be this time around. I do think that it is an interesting concept this time around as we will be able to see players in their own home environment. We will for sure miss the honorary booing of commissioner Goodell as he gives picks from his home basement.
According to what I have been reading tonight's round one will go like normal, each team will have 10 minutes to pick their pick and video calls will be made to players in their homes to accept offers.

As a Raiders fan I have high hopes for the draft (as always). Last year I was loving the picks of Josh Jacobs and Maxx Crosby and they both delivered. Josh Jacobs had 242 carries, 1,150 years and 7 touch downs for the season. Maxx Crosby had 36 solo tackles, 10 sacks amd 4 forced fumbles (I still think he did better than Bosa without getting an interception). Other good picks were Trayvon Mullen, Hunter Renfrow and Johnathan Abram who had a lot of determination and drive prior to his shoulder injury.
Raiders picks are:
Round 1: pick 12 & 19
Round 3: pick 80 & 81 & 91
Round 4: pick 121
Round 5: pick 159
This year we for sure need to go in strong and come out with some key players and strong star power. We need to pick a defensive back, running back and wide receiver. I'm thinking good picks would be:
WR: CeeDee Lamb from the University of Oklahoma
DB: CJ Henderson from Florida State
RB: D’Andre Swift from Georgia State
First Round picks are as follows:
Cincinnati Bengals
Washington Redskins
Detroit Lions
New York Giants
Miami Dolphins
Los Angeles Chargers
Carolina Panthers
Arizona Cardinals
Jacksonville Jaguars
Cleveland Browns
New York Jets
Las Vegas Raiders
San Francisco 49ers (from Indianapolis Colts)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Denver Broncos
Atlanta Falcons
Dallas Cowboys
Miami Dolphins (from Pittsburgh Steelers)
Las Vegas Raiders (from Chicago Bears)
Jacksonville Jaguars (from Los Angeles Rams)
Philadelphia Eagles
Minnesota Vikings (from Buffalo Bills)
New England Patriots
New Orleans Saints
Minnesota Vikings
Miami Dolphins (from Houston Texans)
Seattle Seahawks
Baltimore Ravens
Tennessee Titans
Green Bay Packers
San Francisco 49ers
Kansas City Chiefs
I will be back with my thoughts on round one of the draft, stay tuned!
